Peter and Michelle (Shelly) Schauermann can seem as large as life itself (they're both very tall) and to be fair they have the physical evidence to prove it! With their small "tribe" of 11 kids between the two of them, it's fair to say "family" is more than just a buzzword for them. Both are Clatsop County locals and love the families and sense of community found in our corner of heaven.

Peter has been installing and servicing every kind of heating and cooling unit you can imagine. In 2002 he decided to strike out and try his hand at running his own shop, and has been doing it even since.

Shelly juggles her time between her abundant family life and the bookkeeping for the business. She makes sure everyone is taken care of, inside and outside the walls Columbia Housewarmers.

Pete and Shelly warm their house with a hybrid heating system that matches radiant heated floors, a Jotul wood stove, a Whitfield pellet stove, and an oil furnace to create a warm house, and yes, they are very warm.
